Energy Transition Expertise Centre (EnTEC): Study on Energy Data Space

The Energy Transition Expertise Centre (EnTEC) was formed as a virtually convening, multidisciplinary initiative in order to address the challenges posed by the clean energy transition and to align with the ambitious goals of the European Green Deal.

On January 10th the project »EnTEC«, funded by the European Commission, has started. It will conclude in July 2023 with the publication of the dedicated report and, in addition to Fraunhofer FIT,  it involves Fraunhofer ISI, Fraunhofer IEE and TNO.

To reply to the challenges of the clean energy transition and to meet the ambitious targets of the European Green Deal, a (virtual) multidisciplinary Energy Transition Expertise Centre (EnTEC) has been set up. Its main objective is to monitor and analyze trends in technologies and innovations that are relevant for the energy transition, in the energy sector but also in other relevant sectors, in particular transport and mobility, industry, the digital sector and cities, as well as homes and buildings. The experts of the EnTEC analyze the impacts of technologies and innovations on the energy transition, provide recommendations for policy responses that guide the energy transition and its impact on and interaction with other sectors and with other policy areas.
