INSIEME

Integrated Network for data Space and Interoperable Energy Management in Europe

Goal

INSIEME aims to deploy a secure and reliable Common European Energy Data Space (CEEDS), aligning with the EU Strategy for Data and the digitalization of the energy system. The project supports clean energy transition, energy security, and resilience by enabling broader access to data for innovative services. It will integrate AI, Edge Computing, and Digital Twins to optimize electricity grids, enhance energy efficiency, and facilitate sector coupling. INSIEME also focuses on cybersecurity, business model innovation, and empowering stakeholders through interoperable data-sharing frameworks.

Benefit

The project aims to transform energy data access across Europe, fostering a more interconnected, efficient, and sustainable energy system. By creating a federated energy data space, it will empower businesses, policymakers, and consumers to actively engage in the energy market. The integration with mobility and smart communities will enable new energy services and sectoral synergies, reducing carbon footprints. Citizens and businesses will benefit from improved energy efficiency, self-consumption models, and enhanced renewable energy integration, accelerating the EU’s Green Deal objectives.

Results

INSIEME will deliver a fully operational Common European Energy Data Space (CEEDS) that supports secure and standardized data exchange across energy sectors. Key results include a governance framework, interoperability mechanisms, deployment of AI-driven optimization tools, and sector-specific use cases demonstrating the system’s scalability. The project will provide blueprints, guidelines, and policy recommendations to facilitate adoption beyond its duration, ensuring long-term sustainability and expansion across member states.
